■ Obstacle detection device for heavyweight electric shutters
(1) Seat-plate switch system
The shutter stops when the seat plate hits an obstacle during descent.
*Even if the seat plate switch detects an obstacle and the shutter stops, the weight of the shutter may cause personal injury or damage to the obstacle.
The detector is not able to discover an obstacle in the guide rail and an obstacle approximately 5 cm from the guide rail because the seat plate switch does not cover these areas.
The battery life of the transmitter is approximately 3 years, but may be shorter depending on the environment and frequency of use. Even if the batteries are not depleted, be sure to replace them after 3 years.
(2) Photoelectric switch system
The system detects an obstacle and stops the shutter automatically in an event where an obstacle is blocking the light beam while the shutter is closing.
*Be sure to check that there are no people or objects in the way before opening/closing the shutter, as the light beam may not be blocked depending on the size and position of the obstacle. In such cases, there is a possibility of personal injury or damage to the obstacle
